Written on Jul 22, 2020 at Huay-Wad Village Amphoe Jae-Hom Lampang. This village is community of hill tribe Mae Fah Luang, the population is around 456. This community is located among the hill in the restricted area that supervised by military.
Past 2 years, the company distributed bamboo seedling for cultivation on the land instead of shifting cultivation. We go back again to inform the people about the bamboo grafting that promotes the career opportunity in the community. Otherwise, the community would be a part to revive the green zone. They would gain the yielding profit from the bamboo forest.
Nowadays, some area is still used for mixed cultivation with maize, teak, mulberry tree so that increase the green zone little by little. The significant of restoring forest is to expand carbon sink area. The green plant absorb carbon into wood and leaf whereas soil would store carbon in form of decomposed root. Forest is obviously source of the carbon cycle in the nature.
Today, we approach to the goal, the community is ready to move forward to hopeful future. We hope that in upcoming years, this community would be painted by green of the grove.
